I’m a major Harry Potter fan, so naturaly, after I had watched the movie Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them, I wanted to read the book. I was not disappointed, the A to Z guide of all the magical creatures in the Wizarding World helped me understand the movie (and the World of Harry Potter) much better.
Keep in kind that this review is not about the original screenplay. If you would like more of a novel, this book isn’t that. It just provides facts about the magical creatures. Still, if you are a potter head like me, it’s worth the read.
A summary from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Newt Scamander’s classic compendium of magical creatures, has delighted generations of wizarding readers. Now, in this updated edition with a new foreword by Newt himself and the unveiling of six beasts little known outside the American wizarding community, Muggles too have the chance to discover where the Thunderbird lives, what the Puffskein eats, and why shiny objects should always be kept away from the Niffler.
This book was a delightful read. The funny (but sometimes odd) facts about these fantastic beasts where great, and it was a fun book. There are even a few sketches of the beasts.
To Sum Up
Great little book that’s full of fun and unique facts. A very interesting read.
Thanks for reading this post!
